The Ady International Company Site-Selection Process includes six basic components:
- Develop project standards
- Establish client goals, project parameters, timelines, and project team
- Define the search area
- Initially analyze hundreds of potential communities
- Develop list of communities/regions of interest
- Conduct community screening
- Further analyze communities/regions of interest
- Pare communities/regions of interest into a “shortlist”
- Undertake fieldwork
- Investigate available sites and buildings
- Begin preliminary discussions with community representatives
- Initiate confidential interviews with local business leaders
- Negotiate incentives
- Make recommendations
- Compare final communities/sites to each other
- Rank order communities/sites in terms of suitability
- Conduct incentive negotiations
- Implement based on analysis
- Receive letters of commitment
- Lease or purchase property
